Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival Named Best Food & Drink Festival and Best Charity Event for 15th Consecutive Year

The Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival has once again earned the love of Ventura County, taking top honors in both Best Food & Drink Festival and Best Charity Event in the VC Reporter’s annual Best of Ventura County awards.

The recognition is proof positive that, nearly 34 years in, the Festival remains a beloved Ventura County tradition. Each year, an estimated 3,500 guests gather to enjoy an afternoon of exceptional food, wine and craft beer while supporting Casa Pacifica’s mental health programs for children, young adults and families.

As Casa Pacifica’s largest annual fundraiser, the Festival provides critical support for the organization’s work with children, young adults and families. But its staying power is about more than fundraising. For nearly three and a half decades, the event has become a signature Ventura County gathering fueled by the generosity of local restaurants, chefs, wineries, breweries, sponsors, volunteers and guests.

Among the Festival’s most anticipated attractions is the Top Chef Yummie Culinary Competition, where local chefs face off in a professionally judged culinary showdown featuring both sweet and savory creations. Over the years, the competition has become a launching pad of sorts for local culinary talent, giving emerging chefs an opportunity to showcase their skills, gain recognition and build their profiles within Ventura County’s vibrant food scene. For many chefs, the competition has been an important early step in establishing their reputation and a chance to put their culinary creativity in front of a discerning audience.
